NAMI Fund - Transforming to transform

The NAMI Fund welcomes requests for painting supplies, with the aim of encouraging actions based on the agenda defended by Marielle Franco, and by the UN global action plan – which brings together 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) to eradicate poverty and promote a dignified life for all, within the conditions offered by our planet, and without compromising the quality of life for the next generations.

The Fund was created to give an impulse to the protagonism of black cis women, LGBTQIAP+ people, and women with disabilities, who are seeking sociocultural and environmental changes, thus taking important steps towards the eradication of misogyny, LGBTQIAP+ phobia, social and ethic-racial prejudices. NAMI renamed this project the Marielle Franco NAMI Fund after the murder of Marielle Franco and Anderson Gomes, to give more visibility to the human rights agenda Marielle defended and to preserve her memory.
